Liverpool fans want teenager Neco Williams to play Merseyside derby

Liverpool’s youngster Neco Williams posted on Twitter looking ahead to 2020 – and some of the club’s supporters responded by stating he should get an opportunity to impress in the first-team in the cup.

The 18-year-old is a highly-rated talent to come out of the club’s academy and he was given his senior debut this season in the League Cup win over Arsenal.

He is an attack-minded right-back that managed an assist in that fixture and would surely love to follow in the footsteps of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Williams has been on the first-team bench for three Premier League games recently, including the weekend’s 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Welsh full-back posted on social media following Liverpool’s victory, which leaves them flying high at the top of the table.

“Another great experience, another great win , now onto 2020,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media responded to the upcoming star and feel he’s destined for big things.

There are many who would like to see manager Jurgen Klopp give the defender an opportunity in an upcoming cup fixture against Merseyside rivals Everton.

The Reds host Sheffield United on New Year’s Day in the league, before hosting Everton three days later at Anfield in the FA Cup third round.

Here are some Liverpool fans replying to Williams’ tweet:
