Liverpool host Burnley on Thursday night in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have suggested that Takumi Minamino is recalled to the starting XI.
The Reds welcome Burnley to Anfield for a league fixture and desperately need a win to try close the gap on the three teams above them in the table.
Jurgen Klopp’s side currently trail Manchester City and Leicester by four points, while Manchester United are a further two points ahead of them.
Liverpool travel to Manchester United this Sunday in the FA Cup fourth round, so it’ll be interesting to see what team Klopp selects against Burnley.
A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media believe that Minamino should come into the side.
The £75,000-a-week star (Spotrac) has been a fringe player since joining last January, scoring four goals in 30 games across all competitions.
He’s a versatile player that could slot into any of the three attacking positions, plus he can play an attacking midfield role.
The 26-year-old hasn’t featured in the league since Crystal Palace on 19 December, but did score in that match.
Minamino has watched from the bench the most recent four league games and Liverpool need a boost after scoring just once during that run.
Here are some Reds fans discussing Minamino:
They gotta give Taki a chance man
