Liverpool fans want Klopp to start Tsimikas against Leeds
Some Liverpool fans want Konstantinos Tsimikas to start versus Leeds United this weekend.
The defender kicked off each of the first two Premier League games of the campaign after Andy Robertson suffered an injury in pre-season.
However, he was dropped for the clash against Chelsea after the Scotsman made a comeback.
Now it seems some of the Reds faithful want to see the Greece international return.
Tsimikas starred for the Greek national team in their shock 2-1 win over Sweden last night.
The left-back attempted a staggering seven dribbles, the most for his side, and created three chances.
He was also fouled four times, double the number of times as his next closest teammate.
Tsimikas should start for Liverpool this weekend
Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Robertson has rarely been tested. He has been the club’s outright first-choice left-back and for good reason.
The 27-year-old has been a sensational part of what Jurgen Klopp has built at Anfield. His endless energy and sensational crossing have meant he is the perfect full-back for the German.
But the standards have slipped in recent games. Against Chelsea, Denmark and Austria, he has been far from his usual self. But you can attribute that to his return from injury.
Nevertheless, this is the perfect time for Klopp to teach the Scotland international a lesson and start Tsimikas for Liverpool against Leeds.
Invoking a bit of healthy competition within your squad will only help push both players to greater limits.
Here are some Liverpool fans asking for the 25-year-old to start…
