Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says French international midfielder Nabil Fekir wants to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer.
As per the club’s official website, Aulas admitted that Fekir is keen to move away from the club in the current window and that he is willing to enter dialogue about making that happen.
He said: “His preference is towards a departure. We are open to discussions. We have no news. We are waiting for proposals in the coming days but for the moment, we do not have any.”

And while Aulas didn’t name any names in his quotes, many Liverpool fans took to Twitter to urge their club to swoop for the 25-year-old midfielder.
Fekir was reportedly (Guardian) very close to a £53 million move to Anfield last summer but it didn’t go through – but it’s clear that some Reds supporters still haven’t given up hope of seeing him wear the famous red.
Liverpool’s squad is well-stocked in the midfield area now but they do still lack a genuine creative midfielder since Philippe Coutinho left for Barcelona and it’s clear Fekir would get some pulses racing…
