Lucas Moura posted on Twitter after Tottenham Hotspur beat Bayern Munich on penalties to win the Audi Cup – and Liverpool fans have replied to the Brazilian’s message by teasing the attacker.

The 26-year-old played 70 minutes of the final in Germany, after Mauricio Pochettino’s side beat Real Madrid on Tuesday to reach Wednesday’s final. The two sides drew 2-2, with Bayern coming back from two goals down.

Indeed, a superb Georges-Kevin N’Koudou assist set up Erik Lamela before Christian Eriksen doubled the lead after the break. But Bayern came back, through Jann-Fiete Arp and Alphonso Davies.

Moura posted on Twitter after the match in celebratory fashion, telling fans that he is “very happy” to win his first trophy with the club, despite the Audi Cup being a non-competitive trophy and tournament.

Since Pochettino took charge of the north London side, Spurs have failed to win a single trophy – though they have come close, finishing runners-up in last season’s Champions League. Spurs last won a trophy in 2008.

Moura’s Tweet was open to mocking from many sets of supporters given that the Audi Cup is a non-competitive tournament, and many Liverpool fans teased the former Paris Saint-Germain attacker for the post.
