Liverpool fans suggest targeting Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic

Luka Jovic has endured a difficult first year since his move to Real Madrid – but some Liverpool fans on Twitter have been discussing the forward and have suggested he becomes a target for them in the next transfer window.

The 22-year-old moved to La Liga giants Madrid last summer and he had just announced himself on the European stage the previous campaign with a brilliant year for German club Eintracht Frankfurt.

He managed 27 goals across all competition in the 2018/19 season for Frankfurt, which included 10 goals in the Europa League competition.

The Serbia international has managed just two goals in 24 matches since his move to Spain with Madrid, but that’s not put off a selection of Liverpool supporters on social media who believe he could be a great addition for them next season.

According to the Daily Star, £50million centre-forward Jovic will be offered to Premier League duo Chelsea and Tottenham.

The report explains that the youngster will be available to interested parties in the next window, with Liverpool fans keen to pounce on the opportunity.

They currently have Roberto Firmino as their main centre-forward, plus Divock Origi has shown in the past couple of seasons what an effective role he can provide as his understudy.

But Jovic could genuinely look to challenge Firmino in the team, if he’s able to recreate the kind of promising form he was showing at Frankfurt.
