Liverpool have gone 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League table following their 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Wednesday night.
The Reds took the lead inside 12 minutes when Luis Diaz cut the ball back for Dominik Szoboszlai to lash beyond Nick Pope in the box.
Liverpool then made it 2-0 just after the hour mark when Mohamed Salah collected Alexis Mac Allister’s pass and squared it back to him to fire home.
Reds fans, buzzing after taking another decisive step towards the Premier League title, said one of their players delivered his best ever display for the club.

Liverpool spent £60million for Szoboszlai and it’s already looking like a real bargain. If he keeps this up, he’ll likely be lifting the title and other silverware later this year.
Indeed, Ian Wright recently admitted that he has changed his mind about Szoboszlai.
The pundit says that two months ago he didn’t understand Szoboszlai all that much as a player, but now, he can see that he’s a real star.
“Szoboszlai has had a really good season as well,” Wright said.
“I remember not even, I’d say two months ago I was saying, ‘I can’t see it, I don’t know what he’s doing at the moment. I don’t know what he does right now’.
“But then you look at him now, you see, bro, that’s an eight and a half, isn’t he? He’s brilliant.”
