Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Villa in Wednesday night’s Premier League clash at Villa Park.
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring in the 29th minute, firing home following good work from Diogo Jota.
However, Youri Tielemans equalised on 38 minutes when Liverpool failed to clear their lines from Aston Villa’s free-kick.
Ollie Watkins then put Villa ahead in first-half injury time when he headed home from Lucas Digne’s cross from the left.
Trent Alexander-Arnold equalised for Liverpool in the 61st minute after exchanging passes with Salah before firing in off Tyrone Mings.
Liverpool had to settle for a share of the spoils and some Reds fans felt manager Arne Slot made a rare bad decision in the match.

The criticism kept coming, with one fan writing: “Trent off for Bradley. Seriously. He’s been our best threat going forward. Bewildered!”
