Liverpool are reportedly set to complete a deal to sign RedBull Salzburg attacking midfielder Takumi Minamino for a bargain £7.25million due to a release clause – and Reds fans reckon Adam Lallana could be about to leave the club.
The Independent have reported that Liverpool have agreed a deal for the 24-year-old star, who scored at Anfield in Salzburg’s 4-3 Champions League defeat earlier this season. The report claims Salzburg would have wanted more than £25million.
But due to a clause, Liverpool have beaten Manchester United to the punch and have lured the 22-time Japan international to Merseyside. It means Minamino will join Jurgen Klopp’s side in the January transfer window.

Lallana, 31, is likely to be pushed down the pecking order due to the move. The England midfielder is in the final month of his contract, after entering his sixth season at Anfield following his £25million (BBC) move from Southampton.
The twinkle-toed playmaker has managed just 10 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season, only four of which were starts. It looks more and more unlikely that he is to sign a new deal with the Merseyside club.
Lallana can talk to non-English sides from January 1 as part of a pre-contract agreement. But Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that Minamino is reportedly set to sign, by claiming Lallana is set to leave.
