Liverpool fans react to Trent Alexander-Arnold's display

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s display as the Reds won at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.

Jurgen Klopp’s men edged an enthralling encounter against Manchester United. They had initially gone a goal down and then saw a penalty taken away from them after Eric Bailly’s challenge on Nat Phillips.

But Liverpool responded superbly and went 3-1 ahead during the second-half. And while they did concede after their third, they sealed the win late on with a fourth goal to keep their top four hopes alive.

There were some outstanding displays from the visitors, but arguably no performance was as impressive as the one Alexander-Arnold produced.

Some of the right-back’s passing was simply outrageous. And there were times when he would actually be the furthest man forward for Liverpool. It was his shot that Dean Henderson parried into the path of Roberto Firmino for their third having already set up the Brazilian for his first of the night.

Like many of his teammates, Alexander-Arnold – who earns £75,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – has endured a tough season at times. However, his form has been much more encouraging of late.

And his latest display may well have been his best this season. Many Liverpool supporters suggested that he was their man of the match on a hugely impressive night.
