Liverpool fans react to reports club are interested in Ceballos

Liverpool have reportedly joined the race for Dani Ceballos.

The Real Madrid midfielder’s future is in doubt following the return of Zinedine Zidane as a manager, and the club are said to be willing to listen to offers for the Spaniard.

Ceballos has been at the Bernabeu since 2017 after transferring from Real Betis and he had been tipped to establish himself in the heart of the club’s midfield.

It hasn’t really happened for him so far, and reports have suggested his time could already be coming to an end.

Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move, but Marca claim the Reds are also keen.

Liverpool already have a host of midfield options, but if there was one thing missing last term, it was a creative force in midfield.

Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum were all excellent in terms of their discipline and work rate, but there weren’t too many goals and assists.

Naby Keita is arguably the man best equipped to provide those things, but he is yet to show his best form. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also a creative player and could help out next season.
