According to a report by Fotospor, Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is keen to have his Anfield contract ripped up in the summer to pave the way for a permanent move to Besiktas.
The 26-year-old has been on loan with the Turkish side since 2018 but it seems unlikely they will be able to afford the £7.25 million that Liverpool valuation.
Karius is playing regularly and enjoying his football and he is set to ask the Reds if they can allow him to join the club on a free transfer by cancelling his Anfield deal.
The £25,000-a-week deal will have one year to run in the summer and with his days looking numbered at Liverpool, it seems like a reasonable request.

Karius hasn’t played for the Reds since the Champions League Final in 2018 where the goalkeeper was at fault for two goals in a 3-1 win for Real Madrid.
Following this news, Liverpool supporters have been reacting on Twitter. It’s fair to say the majority believe it to be best for all parties if Karius severed his ties with Liverpool in the summer.
Here is a selection of tweets from Liverpool supporters in response to the news that Karius could leave on a free this summer.
