The Telegraph recently claimed that Liverpool could be willing to let Divock Origi join Schalke in an attempt to land Ozan Kabak.
The Reds are desperate for another defender as they bid to defend the Premier League title they won for the first time last season.
Both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are long-term casualties and Kabak is on Liverpool’s radar.
Origi has only featured twice in the Premier League this season – both as a late substitute and was unused in Saturday’s rout of Crystal Palace.
Despite scoring some mightily important goals for the Reds, it would seem as though his time at the club is coming to an end.

The £50,000-a-week player will be desperate to play regular football and Schalke would certainly allow him that opportunity.
In 147 outings for Liverpool, Origi has scored 35 goals and registered 13 assists.
His most notable performances have come in the Champions League, scoring twice against Barcelona and in the final against Tottenham during the 2018/19 campaign.
Now it seems as though a departure could come sooner rather than later and supporters have taken to Twitter to react.
Here is what supporters are saying regarding a potential swap deal between Origi and Kabak.
