Liverpool were knocked out of the Carabao Cup last night after losing to Arsenal on penalties at the end of a goalless draw.
The Reds couldn’t find a way through a sturdy Gunners rearguard and missed spot-kicks by Divock Origi and Harry Wilson proved fatal.
One man who did earn some praise from Liverpool supporters, however, was midfield maestro Marko Grujic.
The 24-year-old was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing back in 2016 but has spent plenty of time out on loan.

He could head back out on a permanent basis before the window closes (Goal), although this performance will give the boss food for thought.
Grujic signed for the Reds from Red Star Belgard in a deal worth £5.1 million and it’s thought Liverpool now value him around the £20 million mark.
Against Arsenal, he was the midfield battering ram and although he was handed a tough assignment by the likes of Dani Ceballos, he came through it with flying colours.
It may prove a bit too little too late for the Serbian but nonetheless, Liverpool fans were pleased with his performance against the Gunners.
Here is a selection of Tweets from the Reds faithful as Grujic shines against Arsenal.
