Liverpool fans react to performance of Jordan Henderson during Manchester City draw

Liverpool claimed a 1-1 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in an entertaining Premier League contest – with Jordan Henderson catching the eye.

The Reds drew first blood when Mohamed Salah converted a penalty kick after Sadio Mane had been fouled.

City equalised through Gabriel Jesus and should have taken the lead from the spot but Kevin De Bruyne screwed his penalty wide of Alisson’s post.

The second half was far more cagey with both teams unwilling to commit the relevant men forward to seize three points.

A draw keeps Liverpool in a nice position though and they are still seen by many as the team to beat this season.

Jurgen Klopp will have been happy with his team, particularly in the first half, as they took to the game to Manchester City.

Henderson was brilliant throughout and once again proved himself as one of the Premier League’s best performing players.

The 30-year-old is paid £140,000-a-week by the Reds and is very much the brains of Klopp’s team.

Supporters were certainly pleased with him after yesterday’s game and took to social media to speak about the England man.
