Liverpool fans react to performance of Diogo Jota during 2-2 draw for Portugal
Diogo Jota was in action for Portugal last night and the Liverpool man fired a quality brace during the World Cup qualifier against Serbia.
The 24-year-old has scored 10 goals during 2020/21 and he’s now finding the net on a regular basis for his country.
Jota checked in at Anfield during the summer for £41 million and he’s proved a very decent signing by the Reds.
Last night, his goals couldn’t help Portugal to a win – although they should have done.
Cristiano Ronaldo slid home in the closing stages of the contest but the match officials adjudged that the ball hadn’t crossed the line.
The £90,000-a-week star is now back to full fitness and Liverpool will hope he can bring his Portugal form back to the Premier League.
His absence in recent months has really hurt the Reds and Jurgen Klopp will hope he can lead the team to some decent results between now and the end of the campaign.
Here is what Liverpool supporters were saying after his performance last night.
Incredibly on form

Jota’s so good man. Scores goals off the bench, with his head, weak foot, solo goals, match-winners, tap-ins, one on ones, hattricks. Plays as a left winger, right winger, centre forward too. Ridiculously complete and he’s only 24. So excited about him pic.twitter.com/mfehdVNI50
