Liverpool fans react to news that Bobby Duncan will not leave on loan

Bobby Duncan will not be leaving Liverpool on loan this summer, The Evening Standard reports. Despite links with a loan exit before the European window shuts, Duncan will remain at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp wants to keep Duncan around and let him develop in the U23 team. This will be disappointing news for FC Nordsjaelland, who were hoping to land him on loan.

But rather than move to Denmark, Duncan will continue playing U23 football. The former Manchester City striker scored 32 goals for Liverpool’s academy teams last season after joining in the summer.

Liverpool fans thought the 18-year-old might head out on loan this season. After featuring for the first-team in pre-season, it seemed sensible that the next step in his career involved some level of senior football.

But it seems Jurgen Klopp wants to keep Duncan at Liverpool, using him in first-team training and possibly giving him a cup appearance. Here are some tweets from Liverpool fans discussing this decision by Klopp.
