Liverpool fans react to Karim Adeyemi display in Champions League tie

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Karim Adeyemi after the Red Bull Salzburg’s Champions League tie with Sevilla on Tuesday.

Adeyemi is a player who has recently been linked with a move to Anfield. Bild reported earlier this month that the 19-year-old is wanted by the Reds, as well as Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Jurgen Klopp’s side, of course, have signed a number of players who have previously represented the Austrian side. The likes of Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino have all spent time with the club.

And it seems that Liverpool would like to add Adeyemi to that list. The forward has six goals in his first seven league appearances this season.

And he has now made a major impact in the Champions League.

Salzburg played out a remarkable group-stage opener with Sevilla. There were four penalties awarded during the first-half of their 1-1 draw.

Remarkably, Adeyemi won three of them. Unfortunately, he also missed one of the two the visitors failed to convert.

Nevertheless, his ability to win penalties summed up his overall performance. Sevilla simply could not handle the Germany international.

And his performance prompted a host of Liverpool fans to insist that the Reds must do all they can to bring him to Anfield.

The supporters are hoping for a couple of busier windows in the future. They predominantly focused on renewing contracts over the summer.

Obviously, the squad does not need a lot of additions. But adding someone with the potential Adeyemi has would be an outstanding piece of business.
