After a period of international underachievement, the Netherlands will be at Euro 2020 and rounded off their qualification campaign with a 5-0 thrashing against Estonia.
Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum smashed in a hat-trick, continuing an impressive season and underlining his country’s credentials as a force to be reckoned with next summer.
Wijnaldum plays a more advanced role for his nation, with Frenkie de Jong capable of anchoring the midfield and he netted eight goals across the qualifiers.
That prompted some Liverpool fans on Twitter to ask whether he should be fielded further forward at Anfield, given his international form and the relative lack of goals from the Reds midfield.

Jurgen Klopp has done a lot of work on his midfield balance so that might not quite work but having an international class midfielder capable of scoring goals in his armoury in case he needs to shake a game up is not a bad thing.
Lots of supporters were over the moon for the midfielder, hoping he can continue that form for his club as they seek to push on with their title bid going into a frantic run of fixtures over the festive period.
