Liverpool fans react to ’embarrassing’ Jurgen Klopp comments on transfers

The Times claim that Jurgen Klopp maintains his Liverpool squad doesn’t need an overhaul in the summer – and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.

The Reds have relinquished their Premier League title with a feeble defence and are currently on a run of six straight defeats at Anfield.

Injuries have hit the squad hard but their form since the turn of the year has been nothing short of woeful.

Many Liverpool fans felt that a spending spree would ensue in the summer but Klopp’s comments don’t suggest as much.

Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson will all be back next season but fans feel like more quality is needed.

Klopp seems to think that having his injured trio back will revive results but it might not be that simple.

Some of Liverpool’s fringe players haven’t cut the mustard this season and that is a cause for concern.

James Milner isn’t getting any younger, Divock Origi’s confidence looks shot and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has failed to inspire.

Following the comments from Klopp, supporters have taken to Twitter to discuss them and it’s fair to say they’re concerned.

Here is a selection of Tweets from the supporters as the Liverpool boss seemingly rules out a spending spree.
