Liverpool forward Diogo Jota is unlikely to be back in action until early February, according to The Athletic – and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.
The 24-year-old scored nine goals in 17 appearances for the Reds earlier in the campaign following his arrival from Wolves.
A £41 million capture from Wolves, he adhered himself to the club’s supporters with some breathtaking performances.
With Liverpool toiling in their defence of the Premier League title it had been hoped that Jota would be back this month.
Now though it seems as though it’ll be February at the earliest before the Portuguese performer is in action.

The latest update has disgruntled the club’s supporters who are desperate for a lift.
Yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United was the third game in succession that Liverpool have failed to find the net.
Jota is paid £90,000-a-week at Anfield has been a big player for Jurgen Klopp.
He is capable of playing anywhere across a front three and Liverpool are missing that versatility.
A lift is badly needed from somewhere and it seems likely that he’ll be straight back in the team once he is fully fit.
Following this latest setback, supporters took to Twitter to vent their frustration.
