A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to laud Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the midfielder produced an outstanding display after coming off the bench during the Reds’ win over West Ham on Monday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have taken another step towards the Premier League title. But they were made to work to secure the three points.
The Hammers took a 2-1 lead into the final half-hour. But Klopp brought Oxlade-Chamberlain on for Naby Keita. And many clearly feel that that changed the game for the Reds.
Liverpool went on to score twice to turn the game on its head and secure the three points. And Oxlade-Chamberlain has been lauded by many.
According to Whoscored.com, only Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson produced more key passes than the Englishman. And of course, they both started the game, with Alexander-Arnold providing two assists.
And many now feel that Klopp has to hand Oxlade-Chamberlain a start instead of Keita. Some were seemingly underwhelmed with the latter’s display.
And with Jordan Henderson currently sidelined with injury, some feel that Oxlade-Chamberlain should be the man to fill the void left by the captain while he is out.
Here is what some of the fans made of the 26-year-old’s display…
