Liverpool fans have been giving their reactions to the 2020/21 Champions League draw that has placed their side in Group D along with Ajax, Atalanta and FC Midtjylland.
The Reds will be looking to make a better go of the competition this year after losing to Atletico Madrid at the last 16 stage in 2019/20.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will surely fancy their chances of qualifying without too many problems, although Ajax and Atalanta have both caught the eye in the competition in recent years.

Last term, Atalanta made it to the quarter-finals and were a breath of fresh air with their attacking style.
They came close to knocking out eventual finalists Paris Saint-Germain but conceded two late goals to crash out.
Ajax reached the semi-final stage when Liverpool last won the competition in 2019, and could potentially cause the Reds some uncomfortable moments.
Danish side Midtjylland did win their league in 2019/20 by 14 points ahead of Copenhagen, scoring 61 goals in 36 games, but realistically shouldn’t trouble the Reds.
Given the attacking styles of all the teams, one would expect Group D to throw up plenty of goal-filled matches.

And with the final taking place in Istanbul in 2021, the incentive for Liverpool to go all the way will be huge.
Here were just some of the many takes from Liverpool fans on social media to their 2020/21 Champions League group, with most fans very pleased indeed with the draw:
