Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s display

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s display as the Reds secured a 2-0 win at Sheffield United on Sunday.

Liverpool supporters would have been forgiven for being fearful at half-time. Jurgen Klopp’s men had asked several questions of the home side at Bramall Lane during the first-half.

However, Aaron Ramsdale was in inspired form, making a number of stops. Fortunately, Liverpool did get their opener shortly after the interval.

And Alexander-Arnold played a key part as the right-back managed to keep the ball in before sending a cross towards the six-yard box. Ultimately, it was Curtis Jones who found the back of the net.

The 22-year-old was outstanding all evening. He seemed to play more as a roaming midfielder than a right-back, continually popping up around the final third.

As shown by Whoscored.com, he made more key passes than any other player on the pitch. Meanwhile, he also made two successful tackles for the visitors.

Alexander-Arnold – who earns £75,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – has come in for a lot of criticism throughout the campaign. Some of that has definitely been unfair. However, there have been some more encouraging signs of late.

And plenty of fans felt that the academy graduate was one of their best performers on a good night for the champions.

With that in mind, here is how many of the supporters reacted to Alexander-Arnold’s display…
