Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s display

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s display in the Reds’ Champions League tie with Real Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp’s men produced a much improved display from the first-leg. However, they were unable to overturn the two-goal deficit and missed out on a place in the semi-final.

Liverpool did threaten to create the chances that would get them back into the tie. And many of the openings came from the feet of Alexander-Arnold.

The right-back silenced many of his doubters with his weekend winner. And he seemed to produce an even better display against Los Blancos.

The 22-year-old was responsible for some outrageous balls into the box, particularly during the second-half.

Staggeringly, Alexander-Arnold produced six key passes during the clash. In comparison, no player could match his tally. And only Andrew Robertson managed more than two (Whoscored).

There is certainly a feeling on social media that had the likes of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino had their shooting boots on, Alexander-Arnold could have easily had a number of assists.

‘Brilliant tonight’

Plenty of supporters seemed to suggest that he was outstanding on the night. Some even suggested that it was the academy graduate’s best display this season.
