Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Perr Schuurs interest reports

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to the reports from the Daily Mirror claiming that the Reds want Perr Schuurs.

Schuurs may only be 20, but he is a name that may be fairly well-known to plenty of Liverpool supporters. As noted by the Mirror, he underwent a trial at Anfield as a 17-year-old.

He was also part of the Ajax side that faced Jurgen Klopp’s men in the Champions League last month. On that occasion, it was Liverpool who came out on top. But it appears that the youngster made a big impression.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Reds are now looking at the centre-back ahead of the January transfer window.

Of course, Virgil van Dijk is set to be sidelined for some time. Meanwhile, Fabinho and Joel Matip have also suffered with injuries in recent times.

So it may not be a huge surprise if Liverpool do attempt to strengthen their options at the back when the window opens. And it appears that Schuurs would be a popular signing.

Plenty of fans have suggested that they would love to see the Ajax man signed. He appears to have an incredibly bright future ahead of him. And some hope that he can follow in his countryman’s footsteps and be a major success on Merseyside at some stage in the future.
