Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Naby Keita display vs Watford

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Naby Keita after the midfielder’s display against Watford on Saturday.

The Reds stormed to an emphatic victory at Vicarage Road. A Roberto Firmino hat-trick helped Jurgen Klopp’s side to a 5-0 win.

Of course, Firmino will take many of the headlines. Meanwhile, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah also got on the scoresheet.

But a number of others stepped up and produced superb displays against the Hornets. And one of those to really impress many of the Liverpool fans on social media was Keita.

Keita has obviously not always had the easiest time at Anfield. So this season may have seemed like a now or never situation for the Guinea international.

So far however, his doubters are being emphatically silenced. The 26-year-old – who earns £120,000-a-week – was exceptional on Saturday.

He won more tackles than any other player on the pitch, according to Whoscored. He was also the only Liverpool player to join the front three in having more than two shots on goal.

There is obviously still a long way to go in this campaign. But the early signs are incredibly promising for Keita.

He is already halfway towards matching his tally of Premier League appearances from last season. And the supporters are imploring Klopp to keep him in the side for the games coming up.
