Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Jack Butland interest reports

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Mirror claiming that the Reds are interested in Jack Butland.

Butland has endured a tough time at Stoke City. He has not played for the Potters this season having fallen out of favour during the latter stages of last term.

The 27-year-old once looked destined to become a stalwart in the Premier League and for England for years to come. Unfortunately, he has seemingly struggled to realise the potential he initially showed.

Nevertheless, reports have suggested that he could soon join the Premier League champions. According to the Mirror, Liverpool are in talks over a potential move.

Jurgen Klopp is set to be without Alisson for several weeks due to injury. Meanwhile, Adrian conceded seven in the Reds’ most recent game.

It must be noted that the Liverpool Echo has insisted that Butland is not on the radar. But the reports have still prompted a lot of debate on social media.

Plenty of fans have slammed the idea of signing Butland. But there are a number of supporters who have not been quite as emphatic.

Admittedly, some do not believe that he would be a good signing. Adrian has previously done well since arriving at Anfield, so some are not convinced the Englishman would be any kind of upgrade.

There are others however, who would back a move if it came to fruition. They believe that he could be an inspired addition if Klopp is able to restore his confidence.
