Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Curtis Jones’s Champions League display

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Curtis Jones’s performance on Tuesday as the Reds put one foot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp’s men take a 2-0 lead into the second-leg of their tie with RB Leipzig. Goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane gave them the victory over the Bundesliga side.

It was Jones who got the assist for Liverpool’s second. His long ball over the top was not dealt with, and that allowed Mane to run through.

Once again, the youngster produced a fantastic performance on the big stage. He was so composed when in possession. He seems to relish being tasked with retaining possession as he works his way out of tight spaces.

But his energy also appeared to make a major difference. He did not seem to stop or let up at any stage throughout the evening.

Jones has arguably been one of the side’s most impressive performers through their tricky spell. And he was once again produced a standout display on a superb night for the six-time champions of Europe.

His performance prompted many Liverpool fans on social media to express their delight with the academy graduate. Several were insisting that he has further shown that he is going to be a special player as he develops and improves over the coming years.
