Liverpool fans react on Twitter as Rhian Brewster’s loan spell ends with stunning goal

Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster had already done an outstanding job of making sure that Jurgen Klopp had a tough decision to make on his future this summer ahead of the Championship play-offs.

The 20-year-old had scored 10 goals since joining Swansea City on loan in January. His form was one of the key reasons why the Swans managed to stun everyone and sneak into the top six on the final day.

Ultimately, Steve Cooper’s side missed out on reaching the play-off final. But Brewster provided one final parting gift before his time at the Liberty Stadium comes to an end.

The striker scored a superb 11th goal of his spell as Swansea desperately searched for a way back into their semi-final against Brentford on Wednesday.

Some forwards may have been tempted to steady themselves or to try and push into the box. But Brewster produced a sumptuous first-time finish, lifting the ball superbly over one of the Championship’s best in David Raya.

And it prompted numerous Liverpool fans to suggest that keeping Brewster in and around the first-team has to be an option Klopp seriously considers.

Plenty believe that the loan spell has highlighted just how much potential the youngster has. And several have insisted that he is good enough to make an impact at Anfield next year.

Here is how some of the supporters reacted to Brewster’s latest goal…
