Liverpool have recently been linked with a move for Salzburg striker Patson Daka and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.

According to Zambian source, Far Post, the Reds along with Arsenal are eying the prolific talisman ahead of a move before the transfer window closes.

Liverpool got a glimpse of what Daka was capable of during a friendly last month, with the 21-year-old scoring twice for Salzburg in a 2-2 draw.

Boss Jurgen Klopp probably won’t be making any more big-money signings, although some strength in depth wouldn’t go a miss.

The likes of Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri flattered to deceive last season and some quality in reserve would be ideal.

Daka could provide that competition and his goalscoring record in Austria has been pretty sparkling.

During 2019/20 he fired 27 times and registered 12 assists as Salzburg were crowned league champions of the division.

Klopp poached Takumi Minamino from Salzburg in January and a return for Daka wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world.

It certainly seems as though Liverpool fans would welcome this news, with the reactions on Twitter all pretty positive.

Here is a selection of Tweets from Liverpool supporters as Daka is linked with a move to Anfield this summer.
