Marko Grujic starred for German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on Friday night with a goal and an assist from holding midfield during a 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt – and many Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to his display.
The 23-year-old rejoined Hertha on loan for the entire 2019-20 campaign, after playing 23 matches for the top-tier side last season on loan. He has netted three times this season, creating two more in assists from a deep midfield position.
Grujic joined Liverpool almost four years ago from Red Star Belgrade for £5.1million (Guardian), but has only managed 14 appearances for The Reds since then. Indeed, this is his fourth loan spell since moving to Merseyside.

The Reds have enormous competition in the middle of the park, especially with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita returning to full fitness. Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Fabinho, Adam Lallana and Gini Wijnaldum are also options.
It sees Grujic way down the pecking order and with little chance of breaking into the side. However, the eight-time Serbia international may have much more of a chance next term, with Milner and Lallana in the final months of their current deals.
Liverpool fans reacted to his stunning display on Friday by discussing his future on Twitter, with many claiming he is the long-term replacement for the likes of Milner and Henderson.
