Liverpool youngster Paul Glatzel has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club, as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
The striker has committed his long-term future to the club, and is delighted at the faith shown in him as he continues his rehabilitation programme.

Glatzel sustained the unfortunate injury in pre-season in a game with Tranmere Rovers, and will be out of action for around eight months.
Speaking about his new deal, Glatzel told the club’s official website: “It’s massive. Mentally, it’s good to be able to focus on the rehab and know that there’s people that have faith in me and they know I’ll come back from my injury stronger and I’ll be ready when I’m back on the pitch.”
It is the second serious injury Glatzel has suffered, after breaking his leg when he was younger.
His latest cruel blow will more than likely rule him out for the whole 2019/20 season, meaning he will not be able to build on the superb 2018/19 he had in which he plundered 21 goals in 30 games.
Liverpool fans react
Many Liverpool fans were thrilled to hear of Glatzel’s new deal knowing he has likely been robbed of a season through injury, and some took the opportunity to take a swipe at recently departed youngster Bobby Duncan:
