Liverpool have moved to hand Tom Hill his first professional contract, as confirmed on the club’s official website.
Naturally a midfielder, he has caught the eye this season with a string of fine performances for the under-18s.
He made his debut for the youth team in August, scoring twice against Blackburn Rovers.

Despite his tender years he has since stepped up and played in Neil Critchley’s under-23 team.
Hill’s remarkable breakthrough campaign has also seen him make his first-team debut.
He played the full 90 minutes of a 5-0 defeat to Aston Villa during the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
Hill will probably continue his progress with both the under-18 and under-23 teams having signed his first professional deal.
