Liverpool are reportedly set to send Ozan Kabak back to Schalke 04 this summer after passing up on the option to make his loan signing a permanent one, with Ibrahima Konata set to come in from RB Leipzig.
The Daily Mail report that Kabak is to return to the German club at the end of this season after spending half of the year with Liverpool as cover for their centre-back injury crisis that has plagued their campaign, with the report stating that Leipzig view the Turkish international as an option to replace Konate this summer.

It was expected that Liverpool would sign Kabak on a full-term basis in the summer, yet it now appears that the 21-year-old’s time with the Reds is now over, with the Schalke-owned defender not featuring in recent games for Jurgen Klopp’s side, with Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams taking the central defensive positions.
