Liverpool fans react as Philippe Coutinho agrees move to Bayern Munich

Barcelona’s Phillips Coutinho has agreed a move to join Bayern Munich – and some Liverpool fans on Twitter have responded by stating they bet their former player regrets leaving Anfield.

Germany heavyweights Bayern have confirmed on their official website that they have agreed a deal for the 27-year-old, which will be an initial season-long loan with the option to buy.

The Brazil international is expected in Munich during “the next few days” to finalise the move and have his medical.

Coutinho completed a move away from Liverpool back in January 2018 and his departure hasn’t gone to plan for him.

The attacking midfielder scored 21 goals in 76 games for Barcelona, but the Spanish champions have agreed to offload him after just 18 months and don’t view him in their plans.

He was a major fan favourite during his five years on Merseyside, but has had a rough time making the impact that was expected after a £142million (BBC) move to Barcelona.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media have responded to the confirmed news that Coutinho is leaving Barcelona and can’t resist mocking him for failure after leaving Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s team have certainly managed fine without him and have new heroes with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Alisson Becker.
