Liverpool could welcome back midfielder Naby Keita from injury when they return to Premier League action against Newcastle this weekend, as per Physio Room via the Daily Express.
Keita has never really got going in a Liverpool shirt since joining in 2018 and a large part of that has been the injuries that have dogged him.
The midfielder was not able to recover over the summer as he was pressed into African Cup of Nations action with Guinea but could return to the Reds fold this weekend.
Liverpool have done well without Keita so far this season, and remain the only side in the Premier League with a 100 Premier League record – which they should be able to extend against the Magpies.

But it seems from the reaction on Twitter that some Liverpool fans are losing patience with the midfielder, and do not trust he will remain fit.
The fact that the side is performing so well without him in hardly adds any appetite to see him return to the fold, but he could prove useful over the course of a long season as it wears on.
Keita does have quality – he showed that in Germany – but what he needs now is consistency, to remain fit and perform well when he gets his chances.
The issue is he has is that the supporters don’t think he’ll be able to do that – so he’s got some work to do to win them around as it stands.
