Liverpool fans react as Lucas Digne makes interesting revelation

Lucas Digne has reiterated his claims that Liverpool have tried to sign him on two previous occasions.

The Frenchman joined Everton last summer from Barcelona for £18 million (BBC Sport), and has been a breath of fresh air for the Toffees.

The star has made the left-back position his own, taking over from the ageing Leighton Baines.

He has made 31 appearances in all competitions and has impressed with his attacking output in particular.

Interestingly, Digne has again claimed that he actually rejected the chance to move to Liverpool twice before becoming an Everton player.

The defender made the admission in this week’s France Football (via GFFN).

As one might have expected, Digne’s comments prompted a large response from Reds supporters, many of whom mocked the Frenchma for being ‘worse’ than their own left-back Andy Robertson.

The Scotland captain has been outstanding for Liverpool following his move from Hull City in 2017 and is adored by the Anfield faithful.

If there is one man in the Premier League who has been better than Digne this term it is definitely Robertson, and some tired Liverpool fans used that in response to his transfer claims:
