Liverpool are an interested party in the race to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to French outlet Le Parisien.
The defender has been linked with PSG and Manchester City but the Premier League champions are closely monitoring the situation.
Liverpool have Virgil van Dijk as their primary centre-back and Le Parisien claims the Reds dream of pairing the Dutchman with the Senegalese star.
Koulibaly has been at Napoli since 2014, signing from Belgian outfit Genk and he’s become one of Europe’s star attractions when it comes to defenders.
He’s been a mainstay in the team since arriving in Naples playing no fewer than 247 times and scoring 10 goals in the process.
Napoli won’t let Koulibaly go on the cheap, valuing the defender between £63 million and £73 million.
Koulibaly is an international teammate of Sadio Mane and that could see Liverpool have a trump card up their sleeve.
Following this link, Reds supporters have been responding to the reports on Twitter.
It seems as though many would be delighted with the arrival, although some are unsure whether it will ever take place.
Here is a selection of Tweets from Liverpool supporters regarding the link to Koulibaly.
