Liverpool fans have reacted to an update from Jurgen Klopp that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is to miss the club’s final games of 2019 with ankle ligament damage.
The manager addressed reporters at a press conference on Tuesday morning and provided the update on the England midfielder.

Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered the injury on Saturday night during the second half of the Reds’ FIFA Club World Cup final win over Flamengo.
He will not be available for selection against Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Klopp said: “The ankle [is] what we probably expected; you have three ligaments on the outside of the ankle, one of them is damaged.
“Now we have to see how quickly we can fix that. I don’t know exactly. I had that injury myself, but it was years ago and it can take a while or can be quick, we have to see.

“No chance for Thursday and no chance for this year; Oxlade will not play anymore [in 2019] that’s clear.”
It is undoubtedly another frustration for the former Arsenal man, although it certainly could have been much worse.

Chamberlain seemingly won’t be out for too long, but that didn’t stop some supporters from expressing their dismay on social media:
