Liverpool fans react as Jurgen Klopp delivers positive update on Fabinho
Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is set to resume full training next week, according to Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
The Brazilian has been sidelined since November after picking up an ankle injury against Napoli in the Champions League.
Fabinho suffered ligament damage, and has missed the last seven Premier League games – he also missed out on the club’s triumph at the Club World Cup.

The Reds haven’t been stung too much by his absence, but he is now on the verge of a return to first-team action.
Speaking in his Friday press conference, Klopp said: “Shaq trained completely normal since he’s in. Dejan and Fabinho we expect to be back next week in full training.
“That’s obviously good. If that’s then early enough for the United game, I don’t know but we will see. They work really hard in the moment and they go really through the paces, so that’s good.”
Fabinho has become a world-class player during his time at Anfield after signing from AS Monaco in the summer of 2018.

The South American midfield general has nailed down the holding midfield role, and is key in bringing that defensive support in an attack-minded team.

Many Liverpool fans were obviously delighted to learn that Fabinho is now fairly close to returning:
