Liverpool fans react as Inter Milan reportedly keeping tabs on Gini Wijnaldum

Inter Milan are reportedly keeping tabs on Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum with the Dutch midfielder close to entering the final 12 months of his Reds contract – and many Liverpool supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed 29-year-old midfielder Wijnaldum is the latest Premier League star to be linked with joining Inter under Antonio Conte. The former Chelsea boss has used England as a scouting pool of late.

Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Christian Eriksen, Ashley Young and Victor Moses have all moved to Inter, while a whole host of other Premier League stars have been linked with The Reds. Wijnaldum is the latest player to be mentioned.

The former Newcastle United midfielder has been in stunning form once again this season, clocking up 38 appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side. He is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield.

The report claims that Inter are readying a £26million offer to test Liverpool’s resolve, with Liverpool having paid Newcastle a similar fee to sign Wijnaldum in the summer of 2016. But it is clear that Klopp wants to keep Wijnaldum.

As do the majority of Liverpool supporters. Upon hearing of Inter’s reported interest in the midfielder, many Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to the news, urging Liverpool to reject any offers.
