Liverpool fans react as injured Adam Lallana misses out on Champions League squad

Adam Lallana has not made Liverpool’s 19-man squad for the Champions League clash in midweek.

Jurgen Klopp named his travelling squad to take on Red Bull Salzburg in Austria. Doubtful duo Dejan Lovren and Gini Wijnaldum have made the cut but Lallana has missed out with a “knock”, liverpoolfc.com confirms.

Lallana missed the game against Bournemouth at the weekend due to this knock. He had played in the game before against Everton, enjoying a rare start for the Reds.

The former England international operates in a number of midfield positions but Liverpool seem to have moved on. While Lallana has struggled with injuries, Liverpool have reached a new level.

Frustration at Lallana injuries

Liverpool fans have started to grow impatient as Lallana repeatedly picks up injuries. While this is only down as a “knock”, some Liverpool fans believe they have been here before.

There were pictures of Lallana in training ahead of the Salzburg clash. But he has not been deemed fit enough and Klopp will not want to risk any further injuries to his squad.
