Harvey Elliott impressed many on his debut for Liverpool on Wednesday night as the Reds eased to a 2-0 win over MK Dons away from home – and Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to Fulham’s reported compensation demand.
Elliott, 16, rejected a scholarship at Fulham which would see his time at Craven Cottage end. He made three senior appearances for the club, who were relegated last season. It saw Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain become interested.
He chose Liverpool and on Wednesday night he started and finished Liverpool’s 2-0 win in the Carabao Cup third round. Indeed, the winger impressed many and fans were stunned that at just 16, he could play like a player way beyond his age.

The Times have reported, less than 24 hours after his debut, that Fulham are demanding £7million compensation for his move. A decision is expected to be made at tribunal, with no fee given to Fulham as of yet for Elliott’s services.
Elliott is yet to sign professional terms with Liverpool, with rules stating that the youngster is unable to agree proper terms until he turns 17. Fulham are yet to ask for a hearing and with no date set, the saga over Elliott’s fee is expected to continue.
Liverpool fans reacted to the reported news that Fulham want £7million for Elliott, which is similar to the fees that Liverpool received from Rangers for Ryan Kent – and many believe that the figure is a bargain after watching him on Wednesday.
