Dietmar Hamann has been quoted as saying that Liverpool are interested in signing Jadon Sancho and will look to raid Jurgen Klopp’s old side Borussia Dortmund next summer – and Reds fans have reacted on Twitter to Hamann’s comments.
Sancho, 19, swapped England for Germany back in 2017 by making the surprise switch to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City. It has seen the young winger flourish, and started an influx of English players chancing their arm in the Bundesliga.
Breaking into the senior Dortmund side towards the end of 2017-18, Sancho stunned many with a sublime 2018-19 campaign in which he netted 13 goals and laid on 19 assists despite his tender age. He has continues his explosive form this time around.
Making just 11 appearances this season, Sancho has scored four goals and created seven more. With 10 England caps under his belt, he is said to be valued at £100million (The Sun). Hamann claimed Liverpool are interested on Sky Germany.
“What I hear is that Liverpool has great interest. I would imagine that next summer they could become one of the biggest interested parties,” Hamann told Sky Germany, when quizzed about Sancho’s future.
Liverpool boast one of the best front threes in world football, combining Sadio Mane and Mo Salah with the deep-lying forward Roberto Firmino. It is difficult to imagine many players that could break past those three players.
However, a player with enormous quality at the age of 19, may stand a chance when the likes of Salah and Mane do finally deteriorate. Liverpool fans reacted to Hamann’s comments, urging their club to sign Sancho.
We need real competition for our front 3

We should buy him.

We need him. We currently rely far too much on the front 3. Really not sold on Origi as a winger either.

Both would require a colossal figure close to £90m each which would put LFC massively unless they lose a big name player which I don't see happening at all.
