Liverpool are reportedly keeping an eye on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham ahead of the summer window after some excellent performances against Manchester City in the Champions League – and Reds fans have responded on Twitter.

Bellingham, 17, joined Dortmund for £25million (Sky Sports) after clocking up 44 appearances for the English second-tier side. He moved to Germany with the belief that he would probably be on the fringes, but he has surpassed those expectations.

Already first-choice, Bellingham has clocked up 40 appearances this season – proving crucial to Dortmund and even appearing in the Champions League, starring against Pep Guardiola’s side. He has also earned two caps for England of late.

Eurosport claim that Liverpool are to rival Chelsea for the youngster’s signature this summer but it is claimed that Bellingham could already cost a huge £100million. Liverpool were linked with him before his move to Dortmund, but he chose Germany.

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter amid reports that the Reds are keen to sign Bellingham this summer, though a stumbling block will surely be the price tag. Reds fans believe he would be a great signing, with Gini Wijnaldum set to leave on a free.

The Dutchman is out of contract and Reds supporters reckons Bellingham could be the perfect acquisition in midfield.
