Liverpool are reportedly battling Real Madrid to sign Ajax wonderkid Ryan Gravenberch ahead of the January window. With an asking price of £42million, Liverpool fans are desperate for their club to beat Carlo Ancelotti.
Gravenberch, 19, is considered one of Europe’s most-exciting wonderkids. Ajax’s academy is widely renowned as the best in the world and the midfielder is the latest example – breaking into the senior side under Erik Ten Hag.
Indeed, the uncapped Dutch star has already played 86 times for the Eredivisie champions. Even as a holding midfielder, he has had a hand in 20 goals – scoring 10 himself and laying on 10 more in assists.
Spanish newspaper Marca state that Liverpool are interested, but that Real Madrid and Ancelotti have joined the race to sign Gravenberch. Reports claim that Gravenberch could be allowed to leave Ajax for a bargain £42million.
