Liverpool have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa with his contract due to expire in the summer – and Reds supporters have reacted on Twitter.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Sport, Liverpool have joined the race to sign 27-year-old Kurzawa. Arsenal, meanwhile, have been linked with the Frenchman since the January transfer window.

A 13-time France international, Kurzawa has entered the final three months of his contract at PSG – despite playing 23 times for PSG this season, and clocking up an enormous 123 league and cup appearances since his move from Monaco.

Arsenal have options at left-back and it would surely be a silly move to bring Kurzawa to The Emirates. Kieran Tierney was brought in last summer alongside Sead Kolasinac as left-back options – while Bukayo Saka has broken into the side.

Kurzawa, on a free, would be a top signing for most Champions League sides that are after a left-back, though. Liverpool could certainly do with a left-sided defender, as cover for Andy Robertson.

Liverpool supporters reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club were interested in signing Kurzawa, and many believe he would be a good addition as cover for Scotland captain Robertson.
