Liverpool fans react as club reportedly eye Leeds midfielder Raphinha

Numerous reports have claimed that Liverpool are considering a move to sign Leeds United midfielder Raphinha as the Brazilian continues to shine for the Whites in his first season in the Premier League – and Reds fans have responded.

Raphinha, 24, only joined Leeds last summer after helping French club Rennes qualify for the Champions League. The winger has clocked up 17 Premier League appearances under Marcelo Bielsa – and has had a hand in eight goals.

The former Sporting Lisbon ace has scored both home and away against Everton, while also netting in wins over West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United. The Brazilian, represented by Deco (Leeds Live), has also laid on four assists.

Raphinha signed a contract at Leeds that would keep him at Elland Road until the summer of 2024, joining the Whites for a bargain fee of just £17million. France Football – as per GFFN – claim Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Raphinha.

Not only that, but Juve Live have since reported that Leeds are considering Douglas Costa as his replacement with Liverpool pushing for the winger. The Reds could be looking at long-term replacements for the likes of Mo Salah, or Sadio Mane.

Liverpool supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club are interested in signing the Leeds ace. One fans made the strong claim that right now, Raphinha is “better than Mane”.
