Liverpool fans react as club posts Harvey Elliott update on Twitter
It would appear as though Liverpool talent Harvey Elliott has entered the next stage of his rehabilitation. The youngster suffered a dislocated ankle during a victory over Leeds last month.
Elliott was enjoying a run of games in the first-team under Jurgen Klopp. He spent last season on loan with Blackburn Rovers and was a man in fine form.
The teenager has been integral to Liverpool during the opening exchanges of the campaign. He has excelled in a three-man midfield but will now face a period on the sidelines.
The good news is, Elliott looks to be recovering well. He has been snapped on an exercise bike in the gym and that looks like a positive step.
Elliott arrived at Liverpool from Fulham in July 2019. He was given some game time in the cup competitions prior to moving to Blackburn on loan.
In total the youngster has played 13 times for the Reds and looks like being a massive player for the future at Anfield.
Last season he scored an impressive seven goals and claimed 11 assists during his 42 appearances for Tony Mowbray’s team.
He returned with a point to prove to Klopp and he clearly stood out in pre-season. The boss put him in his team this season and the 18-year-old hasn’t let him down.
What have Liverpool fans said about Elliott?
Less than a month after picking up a gruesome injury, Elliott looks to be back on the bike, so to speak and supporters are buzzing.
The fan base rates Elliott highly and they’ll be hoping to see him back on the pitch as quickly as possible.
Liverpool have made a fantastic start to the Premier League campaign. Last season they scraped a top-four finish after injuries to key players decimated their campaign.
They’ll want to avoid a similar fate during 2021/22 and as a result, they’ll hope to have Elliott back sharpish.
Here is what the Liverpool fans had to say on Twitter as Elliott was pictured doing his latest bout of rehabilitation.
